A recommendation is worth less if you cannot tell whether it was paid for. This page sets out when we might be compensated for one, so you can weigh our advice accordingly.

In the course of a project we recommend third-party products and services — hosting, domain registrars, form and email providers, advertising platforms, and similar. Some vendors in this industry operate affiliate or partner programs that pay a commission on referrals.

Where we receive any compensation for a recommendation, we will tell you at the point we make it, not afterwards and not buried in a document. If we have not said so, we are not being paid for it.

Compensation never decides a recommendation. We recommend the tool that fits the project, and we will say when a cheaper or free option would serve you just as well.

If we run a referral arrangement that rewards someone for sending business our way, the reward is paid by us and does not increase your price. If you were referred to us under such an arrangement, ask and we will confirm it.

When a project needs something we do not do — photography, print, development work outside our scope — we will point you at someone who does. We will tell you whether any arrangement exists with that person, and you are never obliged to use them.

Any review or testimonial published on this website is from a real client who gave permission for it to be used. We do not write our own reviews, buy them, or publish invented ones.
