Terms &
Conditions

The terms that apply to this website and to the work we do.

Using this website

This website is provided for information about our services. You may read it, share links to it, and contact us through it. You may not copy its content, design, or code for use on another website.

Estimates and quotes

Prices shown on the service pages are planning ranges, not quotes. They exist so you can judge whether a project is in the right order of magnitude before you contact us.

A quote becomes binding only when it is issued in writing for a defined scope and accepted by you. If the scope changes after that, the price is re-quoted before the additional work starts — we do not add charges after the fact.

Project scope and timelines

Timelines assume we receive content, feedback, and access when we ask for them. Delays in supplying these move the delivery date, and we will tell you when that happens rather than letting a deadline quietly slip.

Where a project depends on a third party — a hosting provider, a domain registrar, an advertising platform — we are not responsible for that party's outages, policy changes, or approval decisions.

What you own

On final payment, you own the website content, the design as delivered, and your domain, hosting, advertising, and analytics accounts. We do not hold accounts hostage and we do not charge a release fee.

We retain the right to describe the work and show screenshots of the delivered site as part of our own portfolio. If you would rather we did not, tell us and we will leave it out.

Payment

Payment terms are set out in the written quote for each project. Work on a project may be paused if an invoice remains unpaid past its terms.

Marketing results

SEO, PPC, and online marketing outcomes depend on factors outside our control, including competition, search engine and advertising platform changes, seasonality, and your own market. See our disclaimer for the full position: we do not guarantee rankings, traffic volumes, lead counts, or revenue.

Ending an engagement

Either of us can end an ongoing monthly engagement with reasonable written notice. Work completed up to that point is invoiced; work not yet started is not. Fixed-scope projects are governed by the terms in their quote.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it.
